Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Lenz, the fundraising workspace at heylenz.app, run by [TO CONFIRM: legal name of the person or company that operates Lenz] ("Lenz", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Lenz, you agree to them. If you use Lenz for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and forms part of these terms.
Early access
Lenz is in early access. It is free for now, access is by invitation, and features may change, break or be removed without notice. We will tell you before we start charging, and paid plans will come with their own terms. You never pay for anything you did not agree to in advance.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to use Lenz. Keep access to your email account secure, because that is how you sign in. You are responsible for what happens in your account and in workspaces you manage, including what members you invite do there.
Your content
You own what you put into Lenz: investor lists, contacts, notes, drafts, pipeline records, and anything else you add or ask Lenz to create. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Lenz for you and your workspace. We don't claim ownership of it, and we don't use it for anything else.
You are responsible for having the right to use the data you add, including personal data about investors and other contacts, and for handling it lawfully.
Email sent through Lenz
If you connect Gmail, Lenz drafts messages in your account. Nothing is sent until you approve it, and once you approve a message, it is sent from your Gmail account, as you. You are responsible for every message you approve, and you agree to:
- follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to your outreach, such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR or India's DPDP Act;
- honour requests from recipients to stop contacting them;
- comply with Google's terms for your account.
Acceptable use
Don't use Lenz to:
- send spam, bulk unsolicited email, or anything deceptive, harassing or unlawful;
- scrape, resell or build a competing dataset from Lenz;
- get into accounts, workspaces or systems you aren't authorised to use, or test Lenz's security without our written permission;
- overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits.
We may suspend or remove access, with notice where practical, if you break these rules or put other users or Lenz at risk.
AI-generated content
Lenz uses AI to research investors and draft messages. AI output can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Check drafts and investor details before you rely on them. Approving a message means you have reviewed it.
Third-party services
Lenz connects to services we don't control, such as Gmail. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
Ending your use
You can stop using Lenz at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or stop offering Lenz, and if we stop offering it we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your content.
Disclaimers
Lenz is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that Lenz will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will help you raise money.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Lenz is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or funding opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to Lenz is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and, if you have an account, email you before it takes effect. If you keep using Lenz after that, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [TO CONFIRM: governing law and jurisdiction, for example "India, with courts in Bengaluru"].
