Describe your round so research finds the right investors
What to tell Lenz about your raise, and how it uses it every time it goes looking.
Lenz finds better investors when it knows what you're raising. The good news: you only have to tell it once.
Open Home
The first time you open your workspace, Home asks What should Lenz work on? That's where this goes. Already past that? Start a chat with Lenz instead. Same thing.
Say what you're raising
Write it the way you'd brief a friend who's helping you raise. The more specific, the better the list. Try to cover:
- Your stage and how much you're raising
- Your sector, and anything adjacent investors might care about
- The check size you're after
- Who you'd love to hear from, and who you'd rather skip
Something like: "Raising a $2M seed for a climate fintech. Looking for seed funds writing $250k to $500k checks that have backed climate or fintech before. Skip anyone who only does Series A and up."
Let Lenz set things up
Lenz builds your tables and saves the details of your round with your workspace. It holds on to your goal and anything you've ruled out, so you don't repeat yourself later.
Put research on a schedule
Research on the web runs in automations. When you set one up, like "Every Monday, find 10 more investors who fit", each run starts by reading what you told Lenz about your round. So the brief you wrote in step 2 is what it's searching against.
