Email / Drafts & threads

Drafts & threads

Replies stay in the same Gmail thread, your signature is added for you, and Lenz notices when people write back.

Replies stay in the thread

When Lenz drafts a reply or follow-up, it reads the thread first and writes the draft as a reply in that same thread, with the same subject. In Approvals it's marked A reply.

Your signature

Gmail doesn't add your signature to drafts made by other apps, so Lenz adds the one from Settings → Email to every email it writes for you. Only you see and use yours.

Which account it sends from

Drafts are created in your Send from account (Settings → Email) and sent from it when you approve.

Noticing replies

For 60 days after you send an email through Approvals, Lenz checks its thread for answers. It sorts what comes back into a real reply, an auto-reply (like out of office) or a bounce, and a real reply wins.

You'll see it in the table's Last reply column and on Home, where it shows up under Needs you, like "Priya replied". Checks run when you open Home or a table, and on the hourly schedule.
